Members of the United Kingdom’s Royal Navy, the United States Navy and the Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) tested OceanServer Technology’s Iver-3 AUV at the recent Unmanned Warrior exercise in Loch Alsh, Scotland.

The Unmanned Warrior was a part of the United Kingdom’s larger Joint Warrior exercise.

Designed specifically to enhance mine counter-measure missions, the Iver-3 has a special technology called the SeeByte Neptune installed on it. The SeeByte Neptune is an open architecture enabling autonomous multivehicle collaboration.

The Iver-3 and its SeeByte Neptune were tested during Unmanned Warrior in an exercise known as Hell Bay, which tested the abilities of different underwater vehicles to work together to achieve certain autonomous missions such as target location and recognition.

Other features of the Iver-3 include launch and recovery software management, water column flight management, and real-time progress and status monitoring. The Iver-3 has an operating time of seven to 10 hours, and can carry different types of payloads.
