Liquid Robotics and Maritime Robotics have announced a new partnership, which will provide the Nordic countries of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland the opportunity to purchase Liquid Robotics’ Wave Gliders, as well as a variety of associated mission and integrated services.

“The Nordic countries are innovating at a rapid pace and generating increasing industry demand for autonomous maritime systems,” says Daniel J. Middleton, executive vice president of global sales and business development at Liquid Robotics. “To address this growing market, we are excited to partner with Maritime Robotics to deploy advanced autonomous systems that improve our clients’ business and provide greater maritime security for their country.”

Vegard Evjen Hovstein, CEO of Maritime Robotics, adds, “We see many possibilities for the use of the Wave Glider in our Nordic region and are thrilled to join forces with the team behind the best energy harvesting USV in the world, the Wave Glider.”

With the announcement of their partnership, the two companies have already landed their first customer — a flight tracking service company called Flightradar24 is set to make a purchase. Flightradar24 is currently conducting sea trials with ADS-B reception with Liquid Robotics’ Wave Gliders.
