UAVOS has introduced its new Auto-Tracking Antenna System, which the company describes as a portable ground-to-air antenna designed to incorporate UAS.

Particularly suitable for UAS applications, the tracking antenna enables long-range data transmission. UAVOS says that the quality and range of stable communication transmission is greatly increased when the Tracking Antenna System is combined with the company's ground control unit.

“Our customers require a system that is simple to put together, turn on, and works. They want to achieve high data-rates and reliable HD video transmission,” explains Aliaksei Stratsilatau, UAVOS chairman of the board and lead developer.

“New Tracking Antenna System enables video streaming out to distances of up to 100km while maintaining high throughput and strong signal strength. The Auto-Tracking Antenna System delivers versatile solution for a truly networked unmanned aircraft.”

According to UAVOS, the new Auto-Tracking Antenna System has two communication channels with different types of antennas. The first antenna—telemetry radio link—works at 900 megahertz frequency and has a range of 100 kilometers, while the second antenna—high-speed video communication—has a data transfer rate up to 25 megabits per second.

With the Auto-Tracking Antenna System, there is the possibility of installing different modems and antennas, which allows the turntable system to automatically orient the installed antennas to aircraft.

The Auto-Tracking Antenna System can be assembled and deployed in less than 15 minutes. Its portable and lightweight design can be completely disassembled, with the main duo-antenna system breaking down into eight individual parts. With its compact storage, the entire system fits into most standard-sized SUVs for easy transportation.
