Parrot has announced a partnership with software company DroneSense. Using DroneSense's comprehensive drone management platform, public safety organizations can build, manage, and scale their UAS programs.

Through the partnership between Parrot and DroneSense, public safety UAS teams will be able use the full suite of DroneSense capabilities tailor-made for the needs of first responders with their ANAFI aircraft.

“It’s our mission at DroneSense to enable first responders to build and scale fully operational drone programs that harness the value of the latest drone technology safely and effectively,” says DroneSense CEO, Christopher Eyhorn.

“Through this integration, we are excited to make it easier for public safety drone programs to utilize the highly capable ANAFI drones successfully in their operations.”

Professionals are able to gain new vantage points on a situation using the aerial insights provided by Parrot’s ANAFI and ANAFI Thermal drones. ANAFI Thermal is equipped with a FLIR thermal sensor, which allows users to easily capture thermal and visual readings for faster response times, along with higher precision and efficiency. This functionality, combined with the scene management tools in the DroneSense Platform, will help save more lives by providing public safety operators with an “unparalleled level of situational awareness.”

According to Parrot, UAS teams can effectively manage their drone programs through one integrated platform thanks to DroneSense. DroneSense provides an intuitive flight control interface for drone pilots, which they can use to fly any mission with any drone in their fleet. Incident commanders gain complete situational awareness with live video streams and telemetry data from drones in the air as well as the ability to collaborate with the pilots on scene from anywhere. DroneSense also provides program administrators with a complete system of record to keep track of important data such as flight logs, hardware, and personnel.

“Parrot consistently offers top-of-the-line solutions to our enterprise customers, and this partnership with DroneSense will allow us to deliver a seamless and integrated experience,” says Jerome Bouvard, Parrot director of Strategic Partnership.

“With entire fleets of drones to manage, decision-makers in the public safety sector are often faced with unique challenges when it comes to effective mission planning and hardware tracking. We expect these challenges to be eased greatly through this ongoing partnership.”
