The uncrewed systems industry is poised for great growth and expansion – but the only way to reach these new heights is with everyone contributing toward shared challenges, goals, and opportunities. AUVSI is committed to leading the industry forward toward one that fosters a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion – which we know supports innovation and solutions to some of the world’s most pressing problems.

In pursuit of these goals, AUVSI’s DE&I Advisory Group supports programming that educates the uncrewed systems community about ways to be more equitable, foster diversity, and ensure diversity of background and thought are valued. Calls for presentations are current open for upcoming AUVSI events:

Business of Automated Mobility Forum

September 27-28, 2022 | Virtual

SAE and AUVSI are partnering to host the Business of Automated Mobility: Flight Path to UAM to equip attendees with the most current regulatory and operational updates about UAM. As AUVSI members work to make UAM a reality, it’s clear that automated mobility provides limitless opportunities and very real challenges. This event will provide an opportunity for speakers to get in front of industry stakeholders and leaders who are making tactical decisions that will impact the future of UAM technologies and their integration into society.

AUVSI and SAE are seeking proposals for presentations and panels that are address subjects of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the UAM industry, including inclusive design and social equity. Submit your proposal before August 5 here.

XPONENTIAL 2023

May 8-11, 2023 | Denver, CO

AUVSI’s DE&I Advisory Group hosted more meaningful discussions at XPONENTIAL 2022 than ever before – and we’re planning to scale up even more for XPONENTIAL 2023. From our formal programming to keynote remarks and podcast interviews, messages about inclusivity and equity will be interwoven throughout the event.

The XPONENTIAL 2023 theme is “The Blueprint for Autonomy,” which includes considerations for design, operationalization, integration, and safeguarding. Its material needs consist of policy and regulations, public engagement, safety and security, data management, testing and certification, among others.

Considerations around diversity, equity, and inclusion will be vital as we chart this blueprint. Submit your proposal on these topics by September 30 here.
