This webinar will explore all aspects of airspace situational awareness. During the session, you will learn how to ensure UAS mission safety and create robust airspace surveillance for Counter-UAS

Speakers will discuss the concept of airspace situational awareness in context of:

  • UAV types (retail, modified retail, homemade) and
  • Operator types (crazy, clueless, careless, compliant, criminal, committed)

Speakers will also detail airspace sensor types and external data sets for detecting and tracking cooperative and non-cooperative aircraft:

  • Radio Frequency
  • Acoustic
  • Radar: distinguishing radar types for both ground and airborne use cases
  • EO/IR PTZ Camera
  • UAS Services Suppler (USS) data

The session will conclude with a discussion on the systems and strategies for maintaining safety and establishing security in the age of autonomous vehicles.
