This webinar will explore all aspects of airspace situational awareness. During the session, you will learn how to ensure UAS mission safety and create robust airspace surveillance for Counter-UAS

Speakers will discuss the concept of airspace situational awareness in context of:

The session will conclude with a discussion on the systems and strategies for maintaining safety and establishing security in the age of autonomous vehicles.

Dr. Tom Driscoll, Co-founder and CTO, Echodyne

Tom Driscoll is Co-founder and CTO of Echodyne, bringing breakthrough radar sensors to commercial markets at commercial price points for the first time. Tom leads the world-class engineering team developing Echodyne’s product portfolio, helping channel talent and passion as technologists to meet Echodyne’s market opportunity to redefine sensing for an autonomous age. Prior to Echodyne, Tom was Managing Director of the Metamaterials Commercialization Center at Intellectual Ventures, where he and a small team of scientists realized a metamaterials technology platform that has currently underwritten 4 start-up companies. Tom holds a B.S. in Physics from Harvey Mudd, a PhD in physics from UCSD, and an adjunct professor position at Duke University.

Scott Straka, PE, Engineering Product Manager, Echodyne

Scott Straka is the Engineering Product Manager for Echodyne’s K-band radar products. Scott is a seasoned engineering management professional with vast experience directing new product developments in high-volume commercial, military and medical markets. Prior to joining Echodyne, Scott was Area Vice President for Device Development Engineering at Clarisonic, part of the L’Oreal Group, where he led the development of products for the personal care and health industry. Scott holds an engineering MS from Duke University and an engineering BS from The Johns Hopkins University.
