Syracuse Research Corp. was awarded a $65 million contract for counter-UAS work from the U.S. Army.

The contract calls for the New York-based company to develop, produce, integrate, deploy and sustain up to 15 sets of a “low, small” UAS integrated defeat system. The Army says the system is a counter-unmanned aerial system solution required to meet the mission requirements of the acceleration phase of the joint urgent operational need.

The work is set to be completed by Jan. 30, 2018 in North Syracuse.
