Liteye Systems and Tribalco announced today that they have teamed to deliver multiple counter-UAS systems to the U.S. military.

Liteye Systems, based in Colorado, produces radars, covert thermal cameras, tactical displays and other systems, including the AUDS counter drone system. Tribalco has joined in the effort to provide these new AUDS systems to the US military.

“As a global system integrator with extensive experience working with the U.S Military, we understand the importance of enhancing perimeter protection to stay ahead of threats to life or property,” says Zac Neumayr, vice president of Tribalco.

AUDS is a system in full production that is able to track and overpower unmanned aerial systems using “multiple non-kinetic defeat capabilities,” Liteye says. AUDS uses radar, thermal and daylight cameras and advanced video tracking as well.

The U.S. military and government organizations have spent the last 18 months testing the AUDS system. The AUDS system proved itself and was able to complete every mission, while delivering air and ground surveillance, according to Liteye.

“As the legitimate use of unmanned vehicles becomes more prevalent in many industries, they become readily available for illicit use by our enemies. With the right technologies, we can provide coverage to our warfighters, while they conduct their mission of protecting against those who wish them harm,” says Thomas Scott, president of Liteye Systems.
