The Energy Drone & Robotics Coalition (EDRC) is partnering with Airborne International Response Team (AIRT), which will result in AIRT producing the DroneResponders Emergency Management and Disaster Forum.

A one day event, the DroneResponders Emergency Management and Disaster Forum will take place on June 10 during the Energy Drone & Robotics Summit (EDRS), which is scheduled for June 10 and 11 in The Woodlands, Texas.

According to AIRT, EDRS is the only event exclusively focused on the business and technology of unmanned aerial, ground/surface & subsea systems in energy operations.

“We are thrilled to welcome AIRT and the DroneResponders Emergency Management and Disaster Forum to the 2020 Energy Drone & Robotics Summit,” says Sean Guerre, executive director of EDRC.

“This initiative will serve the greater public interest by uniting first responders and energy professionals to further explore the use of UAS for disaster response and recovery operations.”

AIRT says that the DroneResponders Emergency Management and Disaster Forum will “continue the legacy” established by AIRT’s UAS Drones Disaster Conferences, which were previously held in Miami and Los Angeles.

The new disaster forum concept will build off of AIRT’s DroneResponders Public Safety UAS summit series, which was held at Commercial UAV Expo Americas in Oct. 2019, and is scheduled for this year’s Xponential conference in Boston in May.

“The Energy Drone and Robotics Summit will serve as the official launch for our new DroneResponders Disaster Forum series of events,” says Christopher Todd, Executive Director of AIRT.

“We are excited to arrive in Texas to help serve public safety and energy sector professionals using Drones For Good.”
