Silent Falcon UAS Technologies (SFUAS) has announced that the Silent Falcon E1 UAS has completed 500 hours of successful flight testing and operations.

The solar electric, fixed wing UAS is considered an ideal platform to use to collect data in both harsh and peaceful environments, thanks in large part to its payload capacity of 20 pounds and its ceiling of 20,000 feet above ground level (AGL). The UAS is also noise and emission free, and it provides long range, low cost intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) capability.

SFUAS notes that it has an application pending before the FAA for type certification of the E1. The company says that the E1 surpassing 500 hours of flight confirms to federal regulators that the UAS is safe and durable.

SFUAS provides full service as well as sales, making the E1 ideal for consumers who are ill-equipped to operate their own UAS, according to SFUAS. SFUAS notes that it provides a “full turn key collection” of data analysis, report, and storage services.

Additionally, analysis and data fusion with airborne data collection is provided by a unique analysis and software team. This provides users with a “one of a kind report” that gives them “highly accurate and advanced” data collection capabilities.
