The former employees of iRobot’s defense division — and all their robots — are back as Endeavor Robotics (Booth #2227), a Massachusetts-based company looking to big program-of-record contracts coming out of the military to increase the numbers over the 6,000 robots it has already sold.
“This is sort of a coming out for us,” says Sean Bielat, who was at iRobot through 2009 and is now CEO at Endeavor.
The Common Robotics Systems-Individual program is shaping up to be one of the Army’s biggest acquisitions of ground robots, which will deploy robots at the squad level.
