Skydio Sets September Launch Date for New Autonomous Drone Technology

In the small UAS industry, autonomy is changing everything.     AI-powered drones help enterprise users do more: capture more data, navigate more complex environments, and work more efficiently. As the leading U.S. drone manufacturer, Skydio has watched demand for autonomous drones increase across sectors as the underlying technology matures.

Dawn of Drones | Episode 102: Argos Academy, LLC

This week, we continue Innovation Month on the Dawn of Drones podcast with Argos Academy, a new arrival to the STEM education market. The company, led by 2 Air Force veterans, has spent 4 years working closely with educators to develop an easy to use ecosystem of STEM and workforce development products. Their focus is to deliver flexible, high-value equipment, lesson plans, and support to educators at an affordable price.

Dawn of Drones | Episode 96: PA Drone Association

This week on the Dawn of Drones podcast, we end an incredible month focused on autonomy with David Heath, Executive Director of the PA Drone Association and one of the leaders of the nonprofit Aerium. The PA Drone Association is a 501C(6) trade association that advocates, promotes, and grows the societal and economic benefits of safe, accessible, and affordable uncrewed systems technologies in Pennsylvania. Aerium is the related 501C(3) non-profit organization formed to cultivate the pipeline between students, educational institutions and the aviation industry, with an emphasis on autonomous systems.

Incorporating Simulation Training In SUAS Education

Date/Time: Wednesday, June 28 at 3:00 – 4:00 pm ET Webinar Description: Simulation training is a big part of traditional aviation education. The main benefits of simulation are reduced flight time to master skills, reduced cost, and virtual manipulation of the environment. However, most individuals learning to fly sUAS do not use a simulation tool. At Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, we employ simulation in a demonstration-simulate-live fly architecture similar to traditional flight training to improve student success, confidence, and aptitude in sUAS training.

Dawn of Drones | Episode 95: Energy Drone & Robotics Coalition

Join Dawn and Sean Guerre, Executive Director of Energy Drone & Robotics Coalition as they discuss how autonomy continues to be “reimagined” in the energy sector! Sean joins the Dawn of Drones this month, which is dedicated to the theme of “Autonomy Reimagined” and sponsored by uAvionix.
