Silvus Technologies Inc., a development of wireless communication systems for the U.S. military, will be introducing its high-performance StreamCaster 4200 Radio line in this spring of 2016.

The SC4200 is the culmination of years of research and development, as well as customer feedback based on the proven predecessors, the SC3822 and the SC350-0. These data allowed Silvus to create a radio that can provide mobile-networked multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) proprietary waveform that is conscious of weight and power, according to the company.

New highlights of the SC4200 include transmit beamforming for extended ranges, up to four-watt transmit power, push to talk, RX Eigen beamforming for enhanced range and reception, and optional twist lock battery connection.

Additional features include true 2x2 MIMO diversity; spatial multiplexing; space time coding for enhanced robustness; user data rates up to 100+ megabits per second; up to 128 gigabytes of onboard storage; automatic link adaption to continually optimize throughput in dynamic environments; single-frequency transmit and receive; self-healing, self-forming flexible mobile ad-hoc/mesh network; dual-band support at five-, 10- and 20- megahertz bandwidth modes; ultra-low latency; and Ethernet, USB, voice and RS232 data interference.
